About us

ADA Compliance Scanner is a service of Westshore Web Development in Seminole, Florida. We build and look after websites for local businesses, and we built this scanner because our own clients kept asking the same question: "Is my website usable by everyone?"

What we believe

• Education first. Most accessibility problems are small and fixable once you know they're there.
• Honesty about tools. Automated checks are a starting point, not a verdict. We say what they can't see.
• Fix the site, not the symptom. No overlays, no badges, no shortcuts.
• Calm, not scary. Good accessibility is good customer service. That's the reason to do it.

How the scanner works

We load your pages in real desktop and phone browsers and run axe-core (an open-source accessibility engine by Deque Systems, version 4.10.3) with WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rules. We add our own checks for keyboard focus visibility, sideways scrolling on phones and linked PDFs. Then we translate each finding into plain English.
